  • A printing factory is, in itself, a space of transformation and creation. A chain of steps ruled by men and machines going from the inspiration to the creation of images and texts, from simple prints to books.

Bringing a printing factory into the street means that the machines are substituted by human intervention. The transformation steps and the flow of creative energy are still there, but the control of the system is in the hands of the artist. The street and its impressions become the bits and bytes of work of art.

Uniform Electronics Street Printing Factory was conceived and executed by Studio Kurtycz for the Chale Wote Street Art Festival 2015 (Accra, Ghana) as part of the art project Girls in Uniform.
